Time for a new building — and it’s ABE’s turn

The Future Home of ABE

We are well down the path to the new and renovated Agricultural & Biological Engineering building becoming reality. The process has evolved from what was a dream, to a concept, recently to a plan, and soon to actual bricks and mortar. The building renderings and floor plans provide a sense of just how special the new ABE building will be.

We invite you to explore the building floor plans:

The three-story portion of the existing ABE building will become offices for faculty, staff, graduate students, post docs, and visiting scholars.

Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2020.

Saying Goodbye to the Past

We plan to say “Hail and Farewell” to the building as you know it on April 19, and we hope you will join us for an opportunity to look back at your favorite spots in the building as well as share your favorite stories and memories with some of your most memorable professors and classmates.

The Big Move

Ten days later, “The Big Move” is on. Our move from the ABE building to swing space in Lilly Hall will allow the construction and renovation to begin. We are counting down the days to “The Big Move” with trepidation, excitement, and anticipation of a bright future as we look to “The Even Bigger Move” as we come back to our new ABE home in late 2020.

ABE Needs You!

There is still time to help us realize this fantastic new and renovated building. We have raised more than $8 million of the $11 million private support required for the building. We hope you will be part of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to impact future ABE students - every dollar helps.
