PRINTING

HLA Departmental Lab Computers should have every printer you have access to installed automatically.  If you are using your own computer and connected via VPN or PAL use the following method(s) to connect to our print server:

Method 1 - EASIEST

The easiest method to print from your personal computer (Windows and Mac) is to upload the document to our print server via this website:  http://printers.hort.purdue.edu.  Simply login using your career account username and password and click "Web Print".   Unfortunately, you will not be able to print to the large format printers with this option.

Method 2 - ADVANCED

To connect to our print server in Windows:

Start > Run > \\printers.hort.purdue.edu
At the authentication pop up box enter>
[ ONEPURDUE\”your career account user name”] for the User name
[Your career account password] for the Password

***Please note that each time you reboot or turn off your computer you will have to reconnect to the server in order to print.

How To Add a Printer to Your Computer:

Connect to the print server> double click on each printer share icon you wish to install. It should take a few seconds to install the drivers, when finished the printer should appear in your printer lists.

Mac OS X 10.7 and later:

We do not have information on how to consistently add our departmental lab printers to Mac OS X 10.7 (or later) on your computer.
