Russell J. Merzdorf earned a B.S. in Graphic Design in 1982
from Illinois State University, and his Master of Fine Arts in Graphic
Design/Education, in 1987 from the University of Illinois. He is a former Assistant
Professor of Visual Communication Design, Purdue University and former Adjunct Faculty, Illinois State University. As senior graphic designer
with the Purdue AgComm Publishing Group (1990 to present) he works with editors
and other specialists to design and produce educational, informational, and
promotional materials in various media. Merzdorf’s primary support is to the
Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, and to the departments within
the Purdue College of Agriculture. He has taught numerous workshops and seminars
for various professional organizations and earned many national and
international professional awards and recognitions for his work in print, Web,
CD, and DVD media.
