The cheese program began in 1969 by Dave Pfendler, a 38-year employee of Purdue who retired in 1974 as associate dean of agriculture, as a fundraising enterprise for Purdue agricultural students.
Purdue Swiss is currently available online through Schnabeltier Creamery/Winery/Brewery website, and in-person at the below locations.
