Bi-State Agriculture Program- Soybean Management Workshop
The Purdue University Extension and University of Illinois Extension Bi-State Agriculture Programs are collaborating to offer a Soybean Management Workshop. The program will be held at The Beef House in Covington, Indiana on Thursday, January 23rd. Registration begins at 11:45 am E.S.T, and the presenters will begin promptly at 1:00 pm E.S.T.
The afternoon session will kick off with Shaun Casteel, Purdue University Soybean Specialist sharing his presentation on his work with the Purdue University’s “Soybean Survey”. Casteel will switch gears and lead the audience into presentation on “Soybean Seeding Rates”. Following Casteel will be Kiersten Wise, Purdue University Botany and Plant Pathology Associate Professor. Wise will collaborate with Casteel to discuss her findings in the “Soybean Survey”, and rounding off her presentation she will discuss “Fungicide Use in Soybeans.”
The final session will feature Steve Ayers, University of Illinois Extension Educator. Ayers will engage participants with findings on the “Impact of Cover Crops on Soybean Disease.”
The cost for the program and lunch buffet is $20 payable at the door. An additional fee of $10 is required to earn credits for the Indiana Private Applicator Recertification Program or Certified Crop Advisor Continuing Education Units.
