 Immigrants in Indiana: Where They Live, Who They Are, and What They Do
Just a couple of decades ago, immigration was not on the radar screen in Indiana. Compared to the rest of the nation − and especially compared to the so-called gateway states with their large immigrant concentrations such as in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and Chicago − immigrants in Indiana have always been underrepresented. More recently, however, Indiana’s immigrant population has steadily increased.
