Position: Field Claims Specialist - April – September, 2011

Objectives: To manage field aspects of the Client’s claims process to assure that all claims are resolved in a manner that is fair and

equitable to both the grower and the Client and to free the Client’s sales personnel from these activities so they are able to pursue other

high priority activities.

Position Requirements: The Field Claims Specialist (“FCS”) will have a background in agriculture. A background in agronomics is

preferable but not required. The successful candidate will be self-directed, an effective communicator with growers, retailers and

Client personnel, computer literate with access to an Internet ready computer, able to negotiate conflict resolution and able reserve 30-

40+ hours per week from April through September. The successful candidate will also have a vehicle and a mobile phone.

Training: Candidate may be required to attend a training meeting with Direct Contact, Inc. and Client. First-year contractors will

attend training during a week in April- May, 2011 at a major midwestern travel destination.

Claims Specialist Duties: The FCS will validate / inspect the claims submitted under the Client’s marketing program through Client’s

agronomy partners and other legitimate sources. The FCS will do this by visiting retailers to validate grower claims, possibly walking

fields to verify field size and symptoms, verifying product purchases, documenting the product, crop loss, and other valid claim

reasons, or making the determination to escalate the claim to the local Client sales representative. The FCS will visit agricultural

chemical retailers to gather, document, and capture grower claims details and review the grower purchase records.

The FCS will be provided a laptop computer for the duration of the project. The FCS will respond to all claims-verification requests in

a timely manner via the Client’s computer system. Additionally, in a database accessed via the Direct Contact, Inc. (“DCI”) Web site,

the FCS will record a number of key statistics regarding the FCS’ claims activities which will include but not necessarily be limited to

the number of hours worked each day, the number of claims responded to and how many claims involved an actual on-farm visit. The

FCS is expected to visit as many client-customers as necessary on an in-person basis. The FCS will also submit a weekly expense

report to DCI.

Time Frame: The FCS will be available for assignment from April, 2011 through September, 2011. The time commitment is

expected to be approximately 30-40+ hours per week during the entire project period. Occasional Saturday work may be required.

Other Requirements: The FCS must supply a high speed Internet connection, a fax machine (if necessary), mobile telephone, a

hands free cell phone with voice mail, and a vehicle in good working condition.

Territory: Daily travel within a 50-200 mile radius of the FCS’ home will be required.

Compensation: Hourly rates for in-field activities will be based upon individual contractor backgrounds and experience.

Expenses: All necessary expenses incurred in conducting the field activities will be reimbursed. This includes, use of personal vehicle

at the current IRS rate in effect at the time the mileage is incurred, telephone (up to $100 per month), lodging, airfare, etc. When an

overnight stay is required, the maximum reimbursable amount per night for a hotel room is $100 and a total of $30 for dinner the night

of the overnight stay and breakfast the next morning.

Confidentiality: This information is strictly confidential. Any breach of confidentiality will be considered grounds for dismissal from

this project and may prohibit contractor from working on future projects with DCI.
