Heifer Intl - School programs Intern


Position: School Programs Intern

Department: Community Education Reports to: Todd Mongomery

Length of Internship: 4 months Status: Paid

Function: Strengthen Adult Education team by creating new resources and opportunities for educational

outreach to adults.

Responsibilities: Work with Community Education team to develop resources that will assist in the

implementation of the programs, research new opportunities for growth in the programmatic reach to various

populations, and assist with on-going programming as needed.

Minimum Requirements: 25 hours a week onsite at Heifer HQ – must be currently enrolled in


Most critical Proficiencies:

Proven ability to communicate clearly and proficiently

Ability to research and prepare reports with no grammatical errors

Strong proof reading skills

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint

Essential Job Functions and Physical Demands:

Daily check-ins with School Programs Coordinator

Phone or email communications with past and current participants to identify best practices.

Database use to maintain and improve communication with program participants

Internet research for high-quality educational resources

General administrative support
