Business Unit Description:

Land O’Lakes Dairy Foods division is a leading marketer of a full line of dairy-based

consumer, foodservice and food ingredient products across the United States. The LAND

O LAKES® brand is recognized and valued by consumers and customers nationwide and


Position Purpose:

The Research and Development intern will support the Foodservice and Retail Divisions

within Land O'Lakes. The position provides an opportunity to interact with research

scientists and technologists in the development of innovative dairy products,

technologies, or packaging. Occasional travel to Land O'Lakes manufacturing facilities

may be required.

Required (Basic) Experience & Education:

Sophomore (or higher) in an accredited Food Science, Dairy Science, Packaging or

related program required. A desire to learn and understand the role of Research and

Development in food manufacturing is preferred.

Required Competencies & Other Skills:

Strong organizational and communication skills are required. Ability to work

independently as well as in a team environment is necessary. Must be detail oriented.

The internship requires a commitment of 12 weeks.
