A. Summer Internship Job Summary / Experience for Crop Protection and Seed Sales:
Among your first weeks on the job you will attend a formal classroom and field based training rated best in class. You'll spend the summer in the real world, imbedded with one of our Field Based Sales Team under the supervision of a Sr. Sales Representative or District Sales Manager. You'll learn about our products and seed line-up, account planning, time management, and problem solving while providing technical service to farmers or dealers. Our internships offer a competitive monthly salary, paid T&E expenses, a company vehicle when necessary, and an increased potential for full-time employment due to exposure to multiple facets of the Dow AgroSciences organization.
B. Summer Internship General Information for Seed Production:
Seeds Operations Interns get hands-on experience at a North American Seeds Operations facility. Interns are assigned to a Mentor who outlines tasks, assists in role and project assignment, and project completion. Interns are involved in cross functional aspects of operations throughout their employment, giving them valuable knowledge and experience for future career opportunities. All interns will have an opportunity to receive extensive training at our Dow AgroSciences world headquarters, visiting other North American Operations sites, research facilities, and have interactions with interns working in other business units of Dow AgroSciences. Interns may be asked to perform a specific Project in addition to daily operational responsibilities, projects are designed to enhance each internship and bring value to the North American Operations Group. You will also have the opportunity to re-cap the intern experience and present the results of your projects to Dow AgroSciences Leadership with the completion of the term.
Candidates should be sophomore standing or above working towards a degree in Business, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Horticulture, Crop Science, Agronomy, Ag Mechanization, Ag Engineering or related agricultural field.
