Description: CountryMark, a farmer-owned cooperative, is seeking a summer intern to assist in marketing and communications at the company’s corporate headquarters in Indianapolis.
CountryMark is Indiana’s only American-owned oil exploration, production, refining and marketing company. The company produces 3,500 bpd of Illinois Basin crude oil, refines 27,000 bpd of American crude oil, sells a million gallons of lubricants per year, and is recognized as a leader in the distribution of biodiesel and ethanol. Fourteen local cooperatives deliver CountryMark fuels and lubricants in and around the state of Indiana, and more than 100 fuel stations carry CountryMark products.
Responsibilities: The marketing intern will be responsible for writing content for newsletters and leave-behind sales literature, as well as developing online quizzes that will reinforce key messages communicated through the newsletters and sales literature created. Other responsibilities will include supporting select customer events and scripting posts for the CountryMark Facebook and LinkedIn accounts.
Qualifications: Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be at sophomore status or above at the time of application submission. An agricultural marketing or communication degree program and background is preferred, but not required. Applicants must have excellent written communication skills, and a desire to create interesting written materials that will help fuel and lubricant end user customers have a better CountryMark product experience. Applicants must be available to work the entire length of the internship program.
Compensation: Compensation will be an hourly rate of $14.00. The intern will be responsible for organizing their own accommodations during the internship period.
