Description: CountryMark, a farmerowned cooperative, is seeking a summer intern to assist in

marketing and communications.

CountryMark is Indiana’s only Americanowned oil refining and marketing company and

it is recognized as a nationwide leader in the distribution of biofuels such as biodiesel

and ethanol. In addition to its corporate offices in Indianapolis, it operates a refinery in

Mount Vernon and terminal locations in Mount Vernon, Switz City, Jolietville, and Peru,

Ind., as well as Henderson, Kentucky. Seventeen member cooperatives distribute

CountryMark fuel in and around the state of Indiana. In addition to delivered fuels,

these cooperatives operate 90 fuel stations in Indiana and surrounding states.

AllAmerican CountryMark fuels are refined to exceed expectations – more fuel

efficiency, more power, longer engine life and reduced engine maintenance costs. In

2010, CountryMark added Advantage Lubricants, a proprietary line of lubricants, to its

product line. Target audiences for CountryMark fuels and lubricants include farmers,

construction companies, homebased trucking fleets and government entities.

Compensation: Compensation will be an hourly rate of $12.00. The intern will be responsible for

organizing their own accommodations during the internship period. CountryMark will

assist in complying with school requirements, written evaluations and other

documentation for college credits. However, the intern must coordinate college credit

for this internship between the university and CountryMark.

Qualifications: Applicants must have at least a 3.0 GPA and be at sophomore status or above at the

time of application submission. An agricultural, marketing, or communication degree

program and background is preferred but not required. Applicants must have excellent

oral and written communication skills. Selfmotivation and the ability to work on a task

with minimal supervision are ideal. Applicants must be available to work the entire

length of the internship program.
