Work alongside horticulture staff at one of the world’s leading centers for the study of plants and oldest public arboretum in North America. The Arnold Arboretum is a 265-acre historic landscape situated in the vibrant Boston neighborhoods of Jamaica Plain and Roslindale.

• Twelve interns are accepted for 12- to 24-week appointments in our Living Collections department: 10 with grounds maintenance and 2 with the nursery and greenhouse. Minimum age: 18 years.

• Spring/summer internships offer practical hands-on training in landscape horticulture combined with related instruction.

• Interns work 40-hour weeks and receive a stipend of $9.00 per hour; housing is not provided. Trainings and field trips complete this comprehensive experience.
