Summer 2011 internship opportunities

The Discovery Learning Research Center is offering numerous fulltime summer internship opportunities

for undergraduate students. You are invited to attend one of the sessions listed below for information.

The Interns for Indiana (IfI) program places qualified students in Indiana hightech startup

companies. This internship experience allows students to gain valuable realworld skills and knowledge.

The program is open to juniors and seniors from all majors with a minimum 2.8 GPA. Applicants must be

a fulltime student in a degreeseeking program.

The Interns for Entrepreneurship (IfE) program places qualified students in hightech startup

companies in Northeast Ohio. This fulltime summer internship experience allows students to gain

valuable realworld skills and knowledge. The program is open to juniors and seniors from all majors

with a minimum 2.8 GPA. Applicants must be a fulltime student in a degreeseeking program.

The Discovery Park Undergraduate Research Internship (DURI) program is designed to

involve Purdue undergraduates in the interdisciplinary research environment of Discovery Park. The

program provides opportunities for students to work with faculty affiliated with Discovery Park on

cutting edge research projects that involve combining two or more disciplinary strengths. The program

is open to sophomores, juniors and seniors from all majors with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants must

be a fulltime student in a degreeseeking program. Parttime fall internships are also available.

The Cancer Prevention Internship Program (CPIP) for Undergraduate Students engages

undergraduates in cutting edge research combining two or more disciplinary strengths in cancer

prevention research. Selected students begin with a fulltime summer internship and continue their

work with a parttime (612 hours/week) internship through the following academic year. Applicants

must be a fulltime student in a degreeseeking program with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Strong preference is

given to juniors and seniors, although sophomores are welcome to apply.
