JOB ANNOUCEMENT – Technology Support Analyst

Dairy Records Management Systems (DRMS) is seeking applications for a Technology Support Analyst to serve in our Ames, IA office. With offices at NC State University and Iowa State University, DRMS processes DHI data for 15,000 herds with 2.2 million cows each month.

We provide dairy management software such as PCDART and PocketDairy, dairy records, processing services, reports, data and support services to producers, veterinarians, consultants, and other dairy industry professionals in 45 states and abroad. We work directly with DHIA management staff in 20 associations to help them provide data collection and support services to their producer clients. PCDART continues to be one of the most popular herd management software systems in the US. PocketDairy for handheld units with radio frequency ID capability is also rapidly expanding in use as mobility and identification issues become more important for dairy operations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support to users

- Assess the computer needs of clients and recommend hardware and software

- Train and provide support to users of DRMS products

- Assist users in solving problems with hardware and software

- Document support issues for DRMS products and manage solutions

- Assist in developing training materials and conducting training sessions for users

- Test and review DRMS products in development

- Help provide general dairy and DHI information

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in animal or dairy science or closely related field and two years relevant experience; OR a Master's degree in animal or dairy science or closely related field and some related experience; OR an equivalent combination of related education and relevant experience totaling six years. Experience must be at a comparable level, directly related to this position and demonstrate knowledge of dairy industry and Microsoft Windows.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
