II. Basic Purpose and Scope

Perform basic product design, testing, and/or analysis to ensure compatibility

between the base products of Kubota and accessories. Research, develop, and test

potential new attachments/accessories to improve salability of products and address

market demands.

III. Principal Activities: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable

Federal, State and local laws/regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and

guidelines:

1. Develop, test, and approve or reject potential attachments/accessories for various Kubota

Products/Product Lines.

2. Research current market demands associated with assigned product/product line in order to

develop attachments that maintain a competitive edge.

3. Recognize and resolve technical problems with assigned product(s) and/or accessories.

4. Develop and maintain contacts with outside vendors.

5. Serve as a technical resource to company regarding details about assigned product(s) and

associated equipment, including information/results of product testing.

6. Set up product demonstrations and participate in annual Kick-Off, Sales, and/or National

Dealer meetings.

IV. Special Projects:

Special projects may include participating in prototype product surveys and testing, involving nationwide

travel in order to survey dealers on new product.

V. Minimum Qualifications

A. Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and up to 2 years related experience.

B. Skills and Background:

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Proven knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering.

Knowledge, skill, and ability to safely operate agricultural and construction

equipment.

Ability to use a computer to enter/retrieve information. Proficiency using

Word, Excel, and CAD software.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations at an engineering level.

Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.
