II. Basic Purpose and Scope

Represents Kubota Corporation (KBT) on Standards Development and Trade Group

committees’. Inform Kubota of government regulations. Conduct prototype

evaluations, and competitive comparisons. Product safety evaluations of Kubota

products. Researching trends and innovative products to advance Kubota’s market

III. Principal Activities: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable

federal, state and local laws/regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and


1. Represent Kubota on various ANSI, ISO, and Trade Group Standards Development


2. Conduct assessments of Kubota and competitive products to insure that Kubota products

meet the safety and functionality requirements of the targeted market as compared to our


3. Inform Kubota of OSHA, CARB, EPA, Canada, and U.S. government regulations.

4. Conduct product prototype development, evaluations, and durability testing for US market.

5. Monitor industry and product market trends. Conduct safety reviews for new products.

6. Review and edit KBT publications. Assist in product surveys and testing of prototype units.

IV. Special Projects:

Work each summer with new products and competitive machines at demonstrations and as assigned.

VIII. Minimum Qualifications

A. Required Education, Training and/or Experience:

BS. Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Agricultural Engineering

Technology or B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical

Engineering Technology or related technical field with related experience.

B. Skills and Background:

Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with

dealership employees of differing back grounds.

Knowledge of agricultural equipment functions and applications.

Experience with equipment operations and functions.

Ability to use a computer to enter and/or retrieve information. Proficiency using

Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and the ability to quickly learn and

use other software packages.

C. Language Requirements:

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Typical office environment. The position will require walking, standing and sitting at a

computer. High business travel requirement. Ability to access equipment and some minor servicing of

equipment. Driving pickup truck with trailer and straight truck with prototype machines.

F. Additional Information

Exposure to damp/wet conditions, chemicals, fumes, moving mechanical parts, electrical

shock, and excessive noise levels at times.
