II. Basic Purpose and Scope

Manages new product development of attachments, implements, and accessories for

assigned products necessary for Kubota to achieve market leadership.

III. Principal Activities: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable

Federal, State and local laws/regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and

guidelines:

Manages all aspects of engineering projects for assigned products. Develops detailed

project plans and schedules and works with vendors to complete projects on time and

within target product cost.

Works with internal groups, affiliate Kubota companies, and vendors to ensure the

successful release of new products.

Provides assistance and guidance to Product Engineers to ensure projects are completed

effectively, efficiently, product knowledge is gained and technical understanding is

developed.

Takes a proactive approach to solving problems, analyzes information and applies technical

knowledge to make recommendations necessary to resolve problems.

Provides significant technical input and product understanding to enhance the quality of

product demonstrations at Sales and Dealer Meetings.

Continues to develop from an intermediate knowledge level to enhance the quality of work

performed at KTC.

- Understands key product advantages of 5 competitors for each product segment as

well as all market applications for assigned products.

- Has a thorough understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems, functional

operation, performance and market applications for assigned products.

- Makes effective uses of CAD, FEA analysis, and strain gage to reduce

development time and improve product quality.

- Manages and controls testing for assigned projects to ensure tests are conducted

safely, results are meaningful and accurate, and resources are used effectively to

support project objectives.

Understands all applicable industry standards and regulations for respective products and

ensures products developed at KTC are in full compliance.

V. Minimum Qualifications

A. Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering

4 to 8 years work experience in the Agriculture, Construction or related

Industry.

B. Skills and Background:

Effective verbal and written communication skill

Works effectively in a team environment.

Proven engineering knowledge and understanding to apply mechanical

engineering principals to solve technical product issues.

Knowledge, skill, and ability to safely operate agricultural and construction

equipment and key performance features.

Ability to use a computer to enter/retrieve information. Proficient at using

Word, Excel, and CAD and FEA software.

Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills.

C. Language Requirements:

Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

E. Physical Requirements:

shock, and excessive noise levels at times.
