Job Title: Mechanic
Job Status: Hourly- Full Time/Part Time
FLSA Status: Exempt-Agriculture
Summary:
Perform thorough inspections and related repairs on equipment owned by Kamman’s Farms, INC, emphasis on diesel motor repair. Should be familiar with general hand mechanic tools. Ability to read and understand repair manuals. Understanding of basic data-entry and computer use. Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years’ experience on all agriculture equipment including tractors, and other Ag equipment to work in the field. Knowledge of motors, diesel motors, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and powertrain systems required.
Background Qualifications:
Education and Experience
o Associate Degree Preferred
o Driver’s License
o Minimum of 3 years mechanic experience
Technical Knowledge
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Possess a positive attitude and is a team player
o Possess a high level of attention to detail
o Ability to adjust plans and actions based on changing circumstances
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills

o General maintenance knowledge
 
o Ability to adjust plans and actions based on changing circumstances
o Physical Requirements
o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 70 pounds occasionally
o Ability to stand, walk, and squat frequently
o Ability to withstand dusty conditions and outside weather conditions
 
Requirements- Duties:
Welding
General Maintenance on farm equipment
Maintenance of equipment including daily preventative and repair maintenance
Diesel motor repair and maintenance
