The first link above points to the FSA calculator page (scroll to the link). The downloadable spreadsheet allows the user to calculate potential ACRE payments for a single year, using a step-by-step approach that helps the user understand how ACRE works. Instructions for the calculator are provided here.
The second link above points to the ACRE decision aid maintained at Texas A&M's Ag. and Food Policy Center. This user friendly model allows producers to input their own information and uses historical variability in farm and state yields as well as national prices to evaluate expected ACRE payments.
The AFPC decision aid is accessible to anyone and contains relevant information for all U.S. counties. This calculator was used in the Purdue publication , "The 2008 Farm Bill ACRE Program: Overview and Analysis for Indiana."
