1st Annual Soybean Showcase Covers Broad Range of Topics
The first annual Soybean Showcase was held on July 26th at the Purdue Agronomy Center for Research and Education. The goal of this showcase was to bring industry professionals and academia researchers together to discuss the progress of the soybean industry.
Six field stops were offered with topics ranging from managing SCN and SDS with host resistance, genetic yield potential, translational genetics, history and future of soybeans, genetics of seed composition and advancing soybeans for production for 72 years. After lunch a graduate student poster session was highlighted. To conclude the day two focused discussion sessions were held. The day was sponsored by Indiana Crop Improvement Association, Indiana Soybean Alliance, Ag Alumni Seed and the Purdue Soybean Scientists.
