major/concentration? Animal Sciences- Pre Veterinary Medicine

graduation date? May 2019
5. Why did you choose Purdue for
undergrad? The teachers are really nice, Purdue has a great Vet School, and
was admitted to the Vet Scholars program
6. What are your plans after
graduation? Vet School at Purdue, then own a vet practice specializing in
companion animals
7. What is your ‘spirit animal’? Peacock
8. What is your favorite
organization joined at Purdue? Too many to choose a favorite- Alpha Zeta, Zoo Club, Pre-Vet Club,
Purdue One Health Club, Student Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society,
Badminton Club, Animalia Learning Community, National Society of Leadership and
Success, Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society
9. What is your proudest
achievement while at Purdue? Being awarded the Outstanding Freshman in the College of
Agriculture; Secretary of Alpha Zeta
10. What was your favorite class
taken at Purdue? ANSC 102- Introduction to Animal Agriculture, because learned by
going to the farm, zoo, and attending outside field trips
11. What is your favorite Purdue
tradition? Fountain run during Boiler Gold Rush
12. What is the best thing about
College of Ag? The teachers are very welcoming and helpful during transition to
college
13. What is the best thing about
Department of ANSC? The shared passion for animals
14. What is the best on-campus
study spot? Anywhere alone and quiet- especially outdoors
15. What is your favorite place in
town? Greyhouse Coffee & Supply Co.
16. What is the most important
thing you’ve learned outside of the classroom? Independence
17. If you studied abroad, where
did you go/what did you do? Traveled to Cuba over Spring Break for a 1 week class and toured
tobacco farms and stayed in local families’ homes.
18. What internships have you had? Worked at Stanford
in a stem cell research lab the summer before senior year of high school
19. What is your favorite quote? “Do all things
with love”
20. What are your hobbies? Broadway shows,
sports, hiking, kayaking, biking, ice skating, roller skating, volleyball,
lacrosse, badminton, playing with my peacocks and my dog
21. What advice would you give
to incoming students? Try
everything and always try to get better because you’re in college and nobody
knows you so you can be whoever you want to be.
