Food Security & Environmental Challenges in Vietnam

Animal Sciences 495 (3 credits)

Open to all undergraduate students and Extension Educators.

This program focuses on food security and environmental challenges in international agriculture. Global animal protein intake rates are anticipated to increase between now and 2050 because as household income increases, the amount of animal protein intake increases as well. At this time, there are continuing global challenges to livestock and poultry producers, including access to international markets, global competitiveness, and the impact of world politics.

Program will be offered in Spring 2018. Undergraduate participants will meet weekly through the semester and will travel to Vietnam during Spring Break (March 9 – 18, 2018).
