How to Become an Ambassador

 

​Each spring, applications are accepted for students wanting to be part of the ambassador team. The application is usually due in February and there are interviews conducted in March.

To qualify to be an ambassador, an individual must be a full-time student, major in the Department of Animal Sciences, have a minimum of 30 credit hours completed by the end of the current semester, be in good academic standing, and have at least two semesters of undergraduate study remaining.

The application for 2013 requires:

  • A one-page cover letter explaining why you want to be an ANSC Ambassador and what you will contribute to the program and Department;
  • A 400-word, double-spaced abstract describing an issue impacting animal industries and what you intend to do to address this issue;
  • A reference letter from a Purdue faculty or staff member; and
  • A resume highlighting your relevant skills and experiences.
