Animal Sciences 49500 (3 credits)
An international learning community experience open to all in-coming freshman and sophomores.
This program introduces students to animal production and environmental issues in Italy. Students will visit a variety of livestock farms as well as gain an appreciation for the production of agricultural products ranging from Parma ham to balsamic vinegar. Students will travel to Italy for 10 days in July and will be members of the Produzioni Animali Learning Community in the Fall semester.
Program dates are Summer 2020, July 26 - August 4. Undergraduate participants will meet weekly throughout the first 8-weeks of the Fall semester to continue discussions on the production practices experienced while traveling abroad.
