SIPAC FIELD DAY - August 21
Our 2013 IRM field day will focus on forage and grazing, including a pasture walk.
Our speakers are: Jason Tower (SIPAC Superintendent, 2013 President of the Indiana Forage Council) and Dr. W. Mark Hilton (Indiana IRM Coordinator). Our goals are to help you learn how to increase the number of days you graze so that you can decrease your overall feed costs. We will also discuss how to use co-product feeds in beef rations and how to limit feed hay.
The educational session will be from 2:00-5:00 pm with a catered dinner to follow. Cost of dinner is $11.50/person and must be paid for prior to this event. To reserve your meal, please call the Purdue Large Animal Hospital during business hours (765-494-8548, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm). Tell the receptionist you would like to register for the IRM Field day, give them your name, and credit card number. If you would like to register for the educational session only (no meal) please state this.
If weather conditions are too hot to be outside, we will be conducting the bulk of the meeting inside the SIPAC Conference space where A/C and water will be provided! Anyone who would prefer to stay at the building during the event is welcome to do so.
There will be approximately 0.5 miles of walking during the pasture portion of this event, please wear appropriate footwear.
