Hello, my name is Hunter Balduf and I am from Murfreesboro, TN. I graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in genetics with honors and a B.S. in physics. While obtaining my degrees, I worked with silver nano particle coating in a biophysics lab and an E. coli DNA repair protein in a genetics lab.
I knew I wanted to pursue a Ph.D. and when I interviewed with the Department of Biochemistry at Purdue, I really liked it and felt that the department had a very friendly environment - a perfect place to pursue knowledge. I joined the Department of Biochemistry Ph.D. program in fall of 2013 and after doing three lab rotations, I joined the Kirchmaier lab in the spring of 2014.
