My name is Linna Wang and I am a graduate student in Dr. Andy Tao’s lab. I am from Beijing, China. I received my B.S. degree from Peking University Health Sciences Center, majoring in pharmacy and M.S. degree from Peking University Health Sciences Center as well, majoring chemical biology. I joined the Pulse program of Purdue University in the Fall 2009 and after doing four lab rotations my first year, I chose the Tao lab.

My present project is to develop new versatile reagents and tools for staining, imaging, immuno and MS detection of phosphoproteins, phospholipids and other phospho-containing biomolecules, My work is to synthesis small molecule with Ti group, and trying to apply it in the detection of phosphoproteins on SDS gel, based on the specific affinity of Ti with phosphate group.

Outside the lab, I enjoy photography, playing violin, singing, travelling, reading, and playing computer games.
