I am Keerthi Jayasundera and I am from Sri Lanka. I completed my Bachelors degree in my home country and an M.S in chemistry at the University of Minnesota, Duluth. I joined the Department of Chemistry Ph.D. program at Purdue in 2009. My general research interest is to use chemistry to study biologically related problems. With that, I joined Dr. Tao’s group in October 2009. Now I am tying to develop proteomic methods to study metal binding proteins.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading books based on true stores and people’s experiences, and bicycle riding.
