My name is Li Pan; I am from Shanghai, China. I got my B.S. in Biotechnology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. I am a student in the Medicinal Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology Ph.D. program and I joined the Tao lab in the spring 2011.
I am always interested in developing biomedical and pharmaceutical techniques and applying them to most challenging fields like cancer research as well as drug development. My current project is to develop efficient fluorescent detection method for phosphoproteins based on our nanopolymers in a 96-well microplate format.
My interests besides research are mainly sports. I like playing all kinds of ball games and I also like swimming. I have been passionate about skiing since my first winter in 2010 when I came to Indiana.
