My name is Jiazhen Zhang and I am from Nanjing, China. I earned a B.S. in biochemistry from HAN University in The Netherlands. During my undergraduate study, I finished an internship in MRC Protein Phosphorylation Unit under the supervision of Prof. Sir Philip Cohen.
I joined the Department of Biochemistry graduate program at Purdue University in the fall of 2011 and after completing three lab rotations, I chose to join the Tao lab in spring 2012. My interest is in proteomics study and my current project is to integrate existing pIMAGO and polyMAC method for more accurate protein phosphorylation detection.
In my free time, I play badminton and go swimming. I also enjoy traveling.
