Joseph M Heneghan

Joey Heneghan is a Master’s student with Dr. Bill Johnson working on the biology and management of waterhemp in Indiana. The overall goal of this work is to better understand how waterhemp grows in the Indiana environment and also to discover what management strategies may be effective in controlling waterhemp in Indiana crops, particularly soybeans. Individual trials include: investigating the germination and emergence timing of waterhemp, comparing emergence and control in no-till and conventionally tilled soybean, evaluating herbicidal control options, and analyzing the growth and development potential of multiple waterhemp populations.  Expected graduation: May 2016
