Botany and Plant Pathology

  • Graduate Research Assistant

Stephanie DeSimini is a M.S. student with Dr. Bill Johnson investigating the weediness of cover crops that are not properly terminated before summer annual crops are planted. The overall goals of Stephanie’s research are to determine how cover crops impact crop yield at the end of the season and to find the most successful programs to control volunteer Roundup Ready canola. Her work will provide growers with information on how to best use cover crops in their current cropping systems, while maintaining weed management programs.

Expected graduation: May 2019.
