P&PDL Picture of the Week for 6 April 2001
Asian Lady Beetle
In the fall, these beetles enter homes to overwinter, and in the spring, the beetles try to get out of homes. If you live in the Midwest, your house is probably "home" to many of these bettles trying their darnedest to get back outdoors!
To find out more about these insects, read the information in E-214, "Asian Lady Beetles" (PDF
32K) from the Entomology Department at Purdue University.
The pattern of spots and coloration may vary from beetle to beetle
