Jada Davis is a Master’s student under the advisement of Dr. Bryan Young. She is originally from Homer, IL, and obtained her B.S. in Crop Sciences with a Crop Agribusiness focus from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2023. Her research focuses on evaluating a new encapsulated formulation of the PPO-inhibiting herbicide saflufenacil for weed management in corn. Her research objectives include:<\/p>\n

  1. Evaluating saflufenacil formulations versus<\/em> other soil residual herbicides targeting broadleaf weed control and crop tolerance in corn.<\/li>\n
  2. Investigating the factors that influence saflufenacil release in the encapsulated formulation.<\/li>\n
  3. Evaluating an encapsulated saflufenacil plus pyroxasulfone premix program against other residual herbicide programs in corn.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\"2023_NCWSS_JD_final_Page_01\"\n\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n
