Student Travel Grants
UPDATE March 24, 2020: We anticipate that all near-term conferences, workshops, and field work will be disrupted by the global pandemic and the travel restrictions being imposed worldwide. Due to the uncertainties related to travel at the present time, the PCCRC is temporarily suspending the distribution of Spring 2020 Student Travel Grant funds, and will not be issuing an RFA in March 2020.
The PCCRC Travel Grant program provides graduate students with funding to support travel to professional meetings or conferences where the student is presenting her/his research results (paper or poster). Students may also apply for travel grants to support travel to workshops or to field sites related to their research program. Awards are intended to help cover travel-related expenses in cases where funds are not available from the student’s advisor or other Purdue-related sources. Full or partial funding awards are possible, with a maximum request of $2,000.
The program is open to full-time registered graduate students of Purdue University who are in good academic standing. The student’s faculty advisor must be an active member of the PCCRC. Students who have received a travel award from the center in the last 12 months are not eligible to apply. The center issues 2 requests for applications (RFA) per year. RFA announcements are issued through the PCCRC email listserv.
To join the list, send an email request to pccrc@purdue.edu.
