Purdue Farm Business Internship

Summer 2019

Host a Student Intern
Purdue University’s Farm Business Internship program matches Purdue Agriculture students with progressive commercial producers to provide interns with a summer-long farm business learning experience. Purdue's Farm Business Internship provides agriculture's leaders of tomorrow with a valuable experience in production agriculture, while also giving farms the opportunity to employ a Purdue Agriculture student with a strong educational background on their farm.

Key benefits for host farms:

  • Additional hands-on assistance in day-to-day operations.
  • An intern to work on business-related projects that producers don’t have time to tackle.
  • A liaison back to Purdue Agriculture faculty.
  • Opportunity to mentor and play a role in the future of agriculture.

Commercial farmers interested in hosting an intern should email Dr. James Mintert at jmintert@purdue.edu.
