Program Overview
Take part in a workshop focused on helping improve farm profitability in 2019. Each workshop provides farmers an opportunity to improve both their crop marketing and financial management skill sets. The workshops will be conducted by James Mintert, Nathan Thompson and Michael Langemeier, all from Purdue’s Center for Commercial Agriculture. 2019 Agenda
Each workshop will include two 90-minute sessions:
Improving Your Crop Marketing Skills
Do you have grain storage facilities? Are you interested in improving returns to your storage facilities? This workshop session will focus on learning about your local basis patterns and how you can take advantage of that knowledge to improve profitability on your farming operation and reduce risk.

Preparing to Meet with Your Ag Lender
This workshop session will explore how to use enterprise budgets to evaluate long-term enterprise profitability, and whole-farm financial projections to evaluate profitability and repayment capacity for the upcoming year. A case farm will be used to illustrate the concepts.
