Using FINBIN data from 2007–2024, this article examines how labor hours per acre and labor costs relative to gross farm income differ across four farm size categories. The results show clear economies of scale, with larger farms requiring fewer labor hours per acre and achieving stronger labor efficiency. These findings provide important context for labor benchmarking and broader cost management decisions.
