Biochemistry student earns Churchill Scholarship

Emily Erickson is one of 14 undergraduate students named as a 2015 recipient of the Churchill Scholarship .

A junior from Clarks Hill, Indiana, Erickson will receive the one-year scholarship awarded by the Winston Churchill Foundation of the United States to pursue research and study in engineering, mathematics, or the biological and physical sciences for one year at the University of Cambridge, England.

Over 100 American colleges and Universities participate in the Churchill Scholarship Program.

The scholarships provide between $44,000 and $50,000 of support to cover all university and college fees at the University of Cambridge, a living allowance, visa fees, round-trip airfare between the United States and the United Kingdom, a travel award, and the possibility of an additional $2,000 Special Research Grant.
