J. Philip Keillor Wisconsin Great Lakes Coastal Leadership Academy Fellow

The Wisconsin Sea Grant College Program and Wisconsin Coastal Management Program seek post-master’s and postdoctoral candidates to enhance coastal community resilience in the Great Lakes region. This 18-month fellowship honors Phil Keillor’s legacy and provides a hands-on opportunity to address coastal hazards like flooding, erosion, and storms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and co-develop the Wisconsin Great Lakes Coastal Leadership Academy (CLA).
  • Facilitate workshops for local officials and decision-makers on coastal resilience.
  • Develop training materials, outreach tools, and case studies.
  • Collaborate with state agencies, Sea Grant, and other partners.
  • Present work at conferences and engage in program activities.
Eligibility:
  • Post-master’s or postdoctoral graduates (within the last five years) in relevant fields.
  • Strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills.

Stipend:
$45,000 (post-master’s) or $59,000 (postdoctoral) + benefits and travel funds.

Location:
Madison, WI (hybrid work options available).
