Great Lakes Project Coordinator 

Full time, Temporary
Location: Fully Remote, based in Ashland, WI

Salary: $47,000/year with benefits

Since 2016, our team has restored over 200 miles of coldwater habitat for native trout in Northern Wisconsin. As our program grows, we need a Great Lakes Project Coordinator to support coldwater conservation and climate resiliency projects in the Lake Superior basin.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct road-stream crossing inventories and post-construction monitoring.
  • Assist with restoration design, permitting, and data collection.
  • Coordinate field efforts and engage with partners.
  • Oversee seasonal interns and assist with grant writing.
  • Outreach to stakeholders and manage project reports.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Fisheries, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge of fisheries management, stream habitat assessment, and restoration design.
  • Experience with survey equipment, ArcGIS, and road-stream crossings is a plus.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work in remote locations.

This is a two-year, temporary position with potential for extension based on future projects and successful grant writing.
