Salary Range: $75,213 – $86,903 annually (based on Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Evaluation)

Position Summary
The Stormwater Program Manager oversees Monroe County’s stormwater operations under the guidance of the Stormwater Management Board. This role focuses on ensuring clean water, improving drainage, and reducing flood hazards.
- Providing overall direction for county stormwater operations and supervising staff and interns.
- Leading stormwater projects and managing capital improvement initiatives.
- Reviewing development plans for compliance with the Stormwater Management Ordinance (Chapter 761).
- Advising the County Drainage Board on relevant projects.
- Responding to drainage-related complaints and collaborating with other departments to enforce stormwater regulations.
- Preparing reports and documentation for the County’s Storm Water Quality Management Plan.
- Applying Indiana drainage laws and enforcing Monroe County’s Stormwater Management Ordinance.
- Education: Baccalaureate degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Preferred Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain it.
- Required Certification: Ability to obtain a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) certification within two years of hire.
- Strong knowledge of Indiana drainage laws and stormwater management practices.
