Location: Colorado, Durango, or Salida
Dates: 05/27/2024 – 08/09/2024
Status: Seasonal, Full-time, Camping Program
Stipend: $600/week ($400/week living stipend + $200/week housing stipend)
Ages: 18 – 30
Benefits: $1,459.26, 300-hour AmeriCorps Education Award, Food provided, Uniforms, Wilderness First Aid & CPR/AED certification.

About the Position
Join the Southwest Conservation Corps as a Summer Conservation Crew Member! Work in diverse settings—front country, in town, or backcountry—on environmental conservation and restoration projects. Projects include trail construction, habitat improvement, fuels reduction, re-vegetation, and more. Embrace a flexible schedule of 8 days on and 6 off or other variations.

Intern Positions:
Conservation/Trail Crew (Durango + Salida)
Chainsaw Crew (Salida)
Crosscut Crew (Durango)
Affinity Crews: Women’s+ Chainsaw Crew (Durango & Salida), Queer Crew (Durango), Leaders of Color Conservation Crew (Salida)


Required Skills & Experience:
Ages 18-30
Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
US citizen with a high school diploma or GED
Pass background checks
Essential Eligibility Requirements:
