A Word from the Editor

The key to a successful education at Purdue is to take advantage of the opportunities the university has to offer. These opportunities lead to the moments that become unforgettable memories.
My most memorable opportunities were trips to places that I never imagined I'd have the chance to visit — at least not while I was still in school.
One of those places was Lubbock, Texas, where I took part in professional development by day and learned to two-step at night. I also spent a week traveling across Ireland to learn about agriculture there and got to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in true Irish style.
In this issue you will see a few of the opportunities Purdue Agriculture offers its students. You'll read about a student organization that teaches children science through puppets, about a woman whose internship cultivated her passion for plants, and about a student whose interests led her to Africa.
No matter what your interests are, Purdue has something to offer you. It's up to you to take advantage of the opportunities set before you.
