Science and Math Night
The Brooks Elementary Dad's Club in Fishers, Indiana sponsored Science and Math Night to increase awareness of careers in science and math. Attendance was estimated at 750-800 by organizers.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The department provided a pre-show event for young theater goers attending the 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Other Eric Carle Favorite' at the Loeb Playhouse in February.
entertained the estimated 200-250 visitors with live hornworms and collection boxes, as well as a variety of butterfly pages for the children to use as finger puppets. The production was part of the Purdue Convocations Festival 25 Series.
Bug Bowl 2011
Origami insects folded by Philip Kuhns, a junior at Faith Christian School, come from the most realistic and complex insect models he can find, including some of his own designs.
