DESCRIPTION:Seminar Abstract\n\nThis seminar presents a unified computatio
nal framework leveraging agentic AI and digital twins to transform monitor
ing\, prediction and decision-making across biological and ecological syst
ems.\n\nAt the ecosystem scale\, the research demonstrates high-resolution
spatial-temporal digital twins for tracking whitetail deer population den
sities and host dynamics across Indiana. At the organismal level\, the res
earch introduces personalized metabolic digital twins to optimize continuo
us health and dietary outcomes.\n\nTranslating these multi-scale architect
ures to human health\, the research showcases how autonomous agentic AI dr
ives real-time anomaly detection\, cardiovascular disease modeling\, COVID
-19 transmission forecasting and individualized Alzheimer's disease progre
ssion tracking. By uniting self-directing AI reasoning with data-driven bi
o-digital twins\, this work highlights groundbreaking opportunities for th
e One Health paradigm - advancing predictive precision\, intervention stra
tegies and care across both animal agriculture and human medicine.\n\nAbou
t the Speaker\n\nGuang Lin is the Moses Cobb Stevens Professor in Mathemat
ical Sciences with appointments in the Department of Mathematics and the S
chool of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University\, where he also serve
s as the Associate Dean for Research and Innovation in the College of Scie
nce. He earned his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University in 2
007 and previously worked as a Senior Staff Scientist at Pacific Northwest
National Laboratory before joining Purdue in 2014.\n\nHis research focuse
 s on trustworthy AI\, physics-informed machine learning\, neural operators
\, predictive modeling\, big data analytics and uncertainty quantification
for biological and complex systems.\n\nHe directs the Data Science Consul
ting Service at Purdue\, bridging interdisciplinary data science methodolo
gies across engineering\, physical sciences and healthcare. His contributi
ons have been recognized with numerous honors\, including an NSF CAREER Aw
ard\, the Purdue University Faculty Scholar designation\, and the Mid-Care
er Sigma Xi Award.\n\nPlease email Marion Welsh at welsh@purdue.edu for th
