Mind BOGgling Event

You're invited to a day of fun and learning!! The Celery Bog Nature Area will be hosting an event for families and community members to learn more about nature this Saturday, May 21st.  It will include demonstrations, crafts, speakers, hikes, nature activities, food vendors, and much more. No registration necessary.

Special Events (all special events will be located or begin at the amphitheater):

10:15 - 11:00 Native Animal Presentation- Emmanuel Akom
11:00 – 11:40 Family Nature Hike- Amanda Bean
11:45 – 12:25 Wildflower Hike- Paul Butler
12:30 – 1:10 Signs of Nature Hike- Mary Cutler
1:15 – 1:55 Tree Identification Hike- Chad Evans and Dan Dunten

All Day Activities:

  • Participate in crafts and activities for youth of all ages
  • Look at displays of common insects
  • Explore backpacking gear
  • Experience a portable beehive
  • Engage in wilderness skills
  • Earn Scout badges
  • Observe birds and other live animals
  • Create a frog jumper craft
  • Food Trucks 11:00 – 1:30

This event will happen rain or shine. If raining, some activities will be moved indoors.
