This year, the Purdue Student Chapter of Environmental Education is the planning committee for the Environmental Education Association of Indiana conference. The purpose of this conference is to bring together natural resource enthusiasts, teachers, and resource professionals about environmental education. This year the theme is "Turning a New Leaf", and the goal is to include messages about incorporating all cultures when teaching environmental education, accessibility of green space in urban areas, and using technology in the field and classroom. Students will be able to network with environmental educator professionals and gain valuable experience through the seasoned educators who attend. Students will also learn useful tools to utilize while teaching environmental education to the public.
