Big Pine Creek Watershed Community Day

The Big Pine Creek watershed project has been working towards improved land management, greater biodiversity, and better water quality in the Big Pine Creek watershed since 2013. In recent years, our history bus tours to highlight the natural, indigenous, and recorded history of the watershed have been extremely well received. While embracing the history and conservation aspects, our stakeholders (the public) were craving deeper knowledge of the watershed’s ecology and biodiversity.

We are answering with a lineup of unique and well-regarded experts in the fields of hydrology, geology, beaver ecology, and birds of prey.

  • Ginger Davis, Research Geologist, Indiana Geological and Water Survey
  • Edwin Prom, Beaver Advocate, Illinois Beaver Alliance
  • Mark Booth, Director, Take Flight! Wildlife Education

There will be a $20 attendance fee to cover the tour and lunch. Please bring cash or a check. Busing will be provided. But please bring a chair.
